CSIR NET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for the CSIR NET for June 2024 Session is available below, an individual may check the educational qualification and age limit details here.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree or equivalent degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Candidates enrolled in MSc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ BTech/ BPharma/ MBBS as of the last date of application are also eligible to apply under the Result Awaited (RA) category.
BSc (Hons) or equivalent degree holders with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or those enrolled in an integrated MS-PhD program with the same percentage criteria are eligible.
Candidates possessing only a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) only, not Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
Age Limit:
For JRF: The upper age limit is 28 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/Third gender/PwD/female applicants (up to 5 years) and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants (up to 3 years).
For Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit.
CSIR NET 2024 Exam Date
Date for CSIR National Eligibility Test 2024 is announced officially by the National Testing Agency. Each individual who wants to participate in the exam needs to know that it may take place in July 2024 (Expected) in two shifts from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm and 03:00 am to 06:00 pm with an exam time duration of 03 hours across the Nation at various exam centres.
CSIR NET Application Fee 2024
To apply for CSIR NET for the June 2024 Session, individuals must pay the required fee, which varies based on category: INR 1,100 for General, INR 550 for OBC, INR 275 for SC/ST, and no fee for PwD. Aspirants will have an option to pay using the provided payment by the deadline of fee submission.
