Kerala SET Notification 2024, Eligibility, Criteria, Fee, Apply Online 

The online application procedure for Kerala SET July 2024 has been launched by the Kerala government and the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. From March 15 to April 16, 2024, candidates can register on the official website for the Kerala State Eligibility Test.

Kerala SET Notification 2024

The Kerala SET, or State Eligibility Test, is a state-level exam conducted by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology in Kerala. It’s designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for the position of Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE in various schools across the state.

Applicants who have finished or in the last year of their B.Ed. or have a master’s degree are eligible to apply for the SET in July 2024. Kerala SET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria for the Kerala SET 2024 are as follows:

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to apply for the Kerala SET 2024.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the subject concerned. 

A Candidate with B.Ed. degree in any discipline from any university in Kerala or any other university recognized as equivalent are also eligible. 

For subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany, an M.Sc. Ed. from an NCERT recognized institute with a minimum of 50% is necessary.

A B.Ed. degree is not required for several disciplines, including home science, commerce, French, and others, in order to apply for the State Eligibility Test.

Those who have earned a BEd. and an II class Master’s degree in Communicative English with at least 50% of the possible points, or an equivalent grade, are qualified to take the English SET exam.

Those without a B.Ed. who have completed their DLEd/LTTC in Arabic, Urdu, or Hindi may apply for SET JULY-2024.

Those having a master’s degree in biotechnology with at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent grade and a B.Ed. in natural science are eligible to apply for Kerala SET July 2024 exam. 

Other Conditions

Those who meet the minimal mark requirements and are in their last year of a master’s program or a bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply. They have to turn in the qualifying exam paperwork, though, within a year of the results being announced.

Applicants with degrees through correspondence from schools/universities not recognized by the Kerala Government are not eligible.

How to Register for Kerala SET 2024?

To register for the Kerala SET July 2024, you can follow these steps:

Navigate to the official website of LBS Centre for Science & Technology at lbscentre.kerala.gov.in.

On the homepage, locate and hit on the “State Eligibility Test July 2024” section.

Register on the portal and proceed with the application process or log in with your registration details if you have. 

Send your personal and academic date as per the requirements along with your name and DOB.

Upload a current photo in accordance with the guidelines, along with any necessary paperwork.

Complete the application by paying the necessary fee and submitting it. 

For future reference, make sure you retain a physical copy of the completed application. 

Kerala SET Application Fee 2024

The fee is ₹1,000 for applicants who are General/OBC and ₹500 for those who are SC, ST, or differently abled. GST and processing fees must be covered by the candidate, if applicable. Only online payments will be accepted as a form of payment. 

Kerala SET Exam Date & Pattern 2024

The two exams of the Kerala SET Exam 2024 will be administered in July, with a 120-minute time limit for each paper.

  • Paper I: Paper I is the same for every applicant. Part (A) is for general knowledge, while Part (B) is for teaching aptitude. Paper I will consist of 120 questions, with 60 questions each for Parts A and B. There will be one mark assigned to each query.
  • Paper II: The second paper (Paper II) will be an examination focused on the candidate’s postgraduate (PG) area of specialization. With the exception of mathematics and statistics, each of the 120 questions in Paper II’s topics will be worth one mark. There will be just 80 questions in Mathematics and Statistics, each worth 1.5 points.
