SAIL MT Eligibility Criteria 2024
To apply online for recruitment of Management Trainees, an individual must meet the certain eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit are as follows.
Educational Qualification – Applicants must have a degree in Engineering with an average of 65% marks across all semesters. The degree should be in a relevant Engineering discipline, such as Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Mining.
Age Limit – An individual’s age must not be above 28 years as of December 31, 2024. For the OBC (NCL) and SC/ST, there will be an upper age relaxation for 3 and 5 years, respectively.
SAIL MT Application Fee 2024
Candidates who are going to apply online for the post of Management Trainees under the Steel Authority of India Limited, an individual will have to pay the application fee of 700 rupees, if he or she belongs to General or Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer).
Those who belong to SC, ST, PWBD, ESM or departmental candidates, have to pay the application fee of 200 rupees only.
SAIL MT Selection Process 2024
Selection process for the post of Management Trainees under the Steel Authority of India Limited consists two stages, which are as follows:

Minimum Qualifying Score: 40 percentile in each part
Group Discussion (GD) & Interview:
Candidates qualifying the first stage of selection process will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for GD and Interview, category-wise.
Merit list will be prepared by combining scores of Online Examination, GD, and Interview with a weightage of 75:10:15, separately for each category, In case of a tie in the final merit list, the candidate with higher marks in the online examination will be prioritized.
