WB ITI Admission 2024 Notification, Eligibility Criteria, Apply Online, Last Date 

The notification for admission into Industrial Training Institutes for year 2024-25 has been officially released by the State Council for Vocational Training, West Bengal and now students have time till 15 May 2024 to apply, stay till the end of this article to know about the admission process and other details.

The form for admission to ITIs in West Bengal is open until May 15, 2024. Applicants must fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and select preferred courses. They need to upload scanned copies of required documents and proceed with the online payment of the application fee by the deadline, otherwise the online form won’t be accepted.

WB ITI Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be eligible for admission to Industrial Training Institutes in West Bengal, one must meet the certain eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit.

Education Qualification: 

    M Group: One should have passed the Madhyamik or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

    E Group: A candidate must have passed Class Eight from a recognized school.

Age Limit:

    Group M & E: Applicants must be at least 14 years old as of August 1, 2024, without an upper age limit.

It is highly recommended to candidates download the notification brochure and check the eligibility details thoroughly before applying for any ITI Trade certificate course of the M or E group.

WB ITI Reservation Details 2024

Out of total seats for Group M and E under Industrial Training Institutes in West Bengal,  20% are reserved for women, 22% for Scheduled Caste, 6% for Scheduled Tribes, 7% for Other Backward Class, 4% for Physically Challenged, and 10% for Economically Weaker Section. 

District Quota seats prioritize local candidates, while IMC Quota reserves 20% for selected Govt. ITIs. Additionally, 20% of seats are reserved for VTC pass-outs, ensuring equitable opportunities for all. Candidates may download the notification brochure from SCVT, West Bengal’s web portal to check the eligibility and other details.

WB ITI Application Fee 2024

To apply for trade certificate courses for Group M and E under various Industrial Training Institutes of West Bengal, a candidate will have to pay ₹200, if the applicant is male, female aspirant need to pay only ₹100, on will be able to pay the required amount using the debit card, credit card or any other payment gateway on to before May 15, 2024.

Documents which are required to get admission for the ITI group M or E in various institutions of West Bengal are as follows.

    Self-attested photocopy of Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination (for “M Group” trades).

    Self-attested photocopy of mark-sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination/Class VIII (as applicable).

    Self-attested photocopy of Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination/Class VIII (as applicable).

    Self-attested photocopy of SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate (if applicable).

    Two recent color passport size photographs (to be retained by the ITI).

    Self-attested photocopy of Aadhaar Card.

    Self-attested copy of Vocational/PBSSD pass certificate (if any).
